Jihadi Nazism IV:

I is here
II is here
III is here

This story on Solomonia:

A disabled, wheelchair-bound man blew himself up on Monday in a northern Iraqi police station, killing a top police official and wounding six police officers, police told CNN.

The attack, which occurred in Samarra in Salaheddin province, reflects official concern over the innovative tactics employed by insurgents in Iraq. Bombs, have been placed inside dead animals and hidden in carts. And in recent days, vagrants have been involved in bombings.

A high-ranking official with Samarra police said that the man came to meet with Brig. Gen. Abdul Jabbar Rabei Muttar, the deputy commander of security, at the security operations building in the city. The pair met last week as well.

The extremists' veto

Just as extremists in real life have often succeeded in sabotaging peace efforts, cyber extremists succeed in closing down debates

Returning from a panel discussion on the question "Is the media biased?" at Tel Aviv University recently, I logged on to Cif to check out the debate on several threads about Israel. Unsurprisingly, all four of them had made it into the "most active" list - and sadly, three of them had been closed for comments because the debates had become too aggressive: Mick Dumper's piece, Gloom over Jerusalem, Ben White's What lies beneath, and Seth Freedman's Life under military rule. The one that was still open for comments, Andre Oboler's False prospectus on campus previously had been closed for the first night after its publication.

For a website with the name "Comment is free", this is undoubtedly a sad state of affairs. At the same time, it is also a telling reflection of the subject of the debates: it seems that when it comes to Israel and the Middle East conflict, Cif just imitates life - whether it is in Cif's cyber world or the real Middle East, the extremists get a veto over what the majority can do. Just like the extremists in real life have too often succeeded in sabotaging talks and peace efforts, in Cif's cyber world the extremists succeed in closing down debates.

NWO: I'm very familiar with the
situation you describe. The Extremists on CiF use antisemitic tropes and myths, in their more moderm guise, to make points about Israel. It is impossible to debate with this kind of attitude, where facts are whatever you want them to be, and human rights pertain to all but Jews and Israelis.

In fact, on Engage, which is a site run by mostly Jewish Leftists who are there "to fight the boycotters and antisemitism" on campus and in the media, this kind of issues are always reported and discussed. Most recently there was this story in the Guardian which has some people wonder whether it is not more reasonable to treat the Guardian as an instrument of antisemitic dissemination.

True. But it is possible to call them out on their stupidity and laugh at them. Also true that after a while the novelty wears out, and then you realize that you have spent a lot of time in a cesspool and...

Ow, this is not what I wanted to say at all. Just remembered that the practice of using people in desperate situations as suicide bombers (such as terminally or seriously sick, mentally ill, etc.) was notices about Hamas and JI as well.
